Call for abstracts

TOFA 2026 will be a single-track conference with oral sessions, poster presentations and one afternoon dedicated to social activities. Abstracts of one page maximum are to be submitted. Each registered participant may submit up to two abstracts for either oral and poster or two posters. No post conference publication is planned.

REGISTRATION

  • Student conference fee

    PhD students are eligible for a reduced conference fee of €550. To qualify for the discounted rate, participants must upload proof of enrollment confirming their student status during the registration process.

  • Gala dinner

    Gala Dinner at Bled Castle is part of the TOFA 2026 social programme and will take place on Wednesday, 23 September.

    Set at one of Slovenia’s most iconic and prestigious venues, this evening promises a truly royal experience,  a magnificent welcome reception, an exceptional dinner with delicious cuisine, and breathtaking panoramic views over Lake Bled. Feel Bled like royalty for one unforgettable night.



    *As seating is limited, we recommend booking early once the option becomes available during the registration process.

  • Optional Excursions

    In addition to the programme, optional excursions are scheduled for Tuesday, 22 September. 


    Ljubljana excursion

    Discover Slovenia’s charming capital with a guided visit to the historic old town. Stroll through picturesque streets and lively squares, enjoy the relaxed riverside atmosphere, and experience the city’s unique, welcoming character.


    Planica excursion 

    Join a guided trip to Planica and the Slovenian Alpine Museum. Explore the stories of Slovenia’s mountain heritage and visit the iconic Nordic centre set in the breathtaking Alpine landscape.

  • Accompanying person

    The accompanying person package includes:

    4× lunches, Welcome reception on the first day, Royal Reception 


    *Please note: coffee breaks are not included in the accompanying person package.

  • Cancellation & reimbursement

    Cancellation requests received by the conference secretariat no later than 15 days before the beginning of the conference will be refunded, minus administration costs (10%).

    No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after this time.
